Girl, our master bedroom is finally coming together! Not completely finished but definitely making serious progress thanks to Target! Target literally became my one-stop-shop for all things home and I’m not mad at it! Not only was I able to mix and match certain pieces to create the white/beige dreamy oasis I was wanting but I was able to score the one piece I’ve been searching for less than $400 when they usually go for over $900! Let’s dive a little deeper into all the pieces I purchased.
Starting with our bedding. Decided to go the linen route and went with the Space Dyed Cotton Linen Comforter & Sham Set by Threshold. I wanted a very “relaxed” vibe but also very luxe and I think linen is the perfect fabric for that! I went with the “natural” color as I wanted to add some dimension to the space without overpowering it with lots of different colors!
Here’s a tip: pick 3 colors and then add dimension by adding different tones of each color! So for example, our colors are beige, brown, & gold but we’ll use different tones of beiges and browns to add depth!
Ok, moving on to the star of the show when it comes to our bedding and those are our pillows! I always told myself that when I was to buy a house, I would make my room feel like a hotel room and pillows are a sure way of doing that! I added 3 of the Euro Double Cloth Decorative Throw Pillow by Threshold, the Woven Washed Windowpane Pillow in cream- also by Threshold & then finished it with the Oversized Oblong Tufted Diamond Throw Pillow Cream by Opalhouse. I don’t know about you, but… *chef’s kiss*!
Ok, moving on to this little romantic reading nook! I originally wanted two boucle swivel chairs but Taz thinks only one will *fit* comfortably so we compromised and purchased one and we’ll see how we feel after we use it for a little bit. If after a couple of weeks I still feel like something is missing, you better believe I’m going to order another one of these! Honestly, you can’t beat the price- AND THE COMFORT. I will say though- I found this chair in the baby section so don’t be afraid to look in other areas of Target to see what will work for you and your home! Another piece I feel really makes the space and creates the vibe are these curtains! I’ll be honest, I don’t plan on using them to block out light- I just wanted that wispy, romantic linen look and this does the job, perfectly! I doubled them up on either side of the windows to make it more full but you could definitely just do it on each side.
And lastly, let’s talk accessories- I was debating on putting up a lighting fixture in the room but when I saw this one from Target, I couldn’t say no. It’s the perfect addition to add a little luxe into such a relaxed space! This one is actually Large Frosted Acrylic Chandelier Brass by Opalhouse. Stunning, right? And at that price point, you can’t beat it!
Honestly, I never want to leave this room now! Target helped make my bedroom dreams come true and the best part is that I didn’t have to give up my budget! Now, it’s your turn. What dream oasis will you create? Tell me in the comments below!
